Our content and programs aim to empower, educate and entertain. We value courageous compassion and the power of collectivity. Our eco-feminist vision promotes non-violent conflict resolution and emphasizes mutual respect, understanding, and cooperation across races, cultures and borders. 

STRONG began as a group of parents and educators who were concerned about the dominant values taught to children through storytelling and media. We began working together in 2012 to create alternatives to the predominant idealization of white princesses recognizing its negative impact especially for girls of color. 

Guardian Princess stories deliberately break away from the traditional romance fantasy of a damsel-in-distress who needs rescue from a prince. We expanded the representation of beauty by including different-sized princesses and well as those with disabilities. We reject the dominant greed-driven culture that privileges profit over people and portray heroines working together across racial and cultural differences to defeat the greedy villains and selfish kings. 

Our goal is to educate readers in an entertaining manner about current environmental issues and how we can be part of the solution.
