Our books meet Common Core State Standards
In addition to providing children with a wealth of inspiring lessons, ethical models, and diverse cultural and ethnic content that will better prepare them for the global twenty-first century, our books are designed to meet Common Core State Standards. The Common Core State Standards have been adopted by 41 states, the District of Columbia and four territories as educational standards in grades K-12. By aligning our books with these educational standards, we encourage children to aspire to be great leaders while simultaneously addressing the pragmatic needs of parents and teachers.
Our books include supplemental materials that have been reviewed by reading analysts and educators, who have served on the National Assessment for Educational Progress division of the National Center for Education Statistics. Each story includes:
discussion questions and activity based on the Common Core Language Arts Standards
etymology charts to increase their knowledge of other languages
a glossary to expand vocabulary
Our stories themselves also promote greater awareness of the environment and aim to advance children’s knowledge in STEM subjects (sciences, technology, engineering, mathematics).
