The History of S.T.R.O.N.G. Edutainment

STRONG Edutainment is a public charity 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2016 as a collective of educators, parents, creative writers, poets, artists, and theater professionals who are committed to creating stories that root our next generation in values that promote communities of care for people and the planet. The core of our children’s media, theater, and community outreach programs is an anti-racist and intersectional feminist pedagogy.

STRONG Edutainment was founded after the dissolution of the Guardian Princess Alliance Foundation and LLC in 2016. The founder of the Guardian Princess Alliance Foundation, Setsu donated all the Guardian Princess books and assets to STRONG in 2016. Based on these donations gifted by Shigematsu, STRONG developed new theatrical directions and community outreach.

Since 2016, our team has stayed true to our ethos and has displayed immense resilience despite hardships. By staying true to our values, we have become stronger and we look forward to growing with our partners as we continue our outreach, education and arts programming.
